NBA 2K17 Face Scan Mobile App Launches on iOS and Android

A day before ‘The Prelude’, 2K Sports launches the NBA 2K17 app for all smart phones powered by Android or iOS technology.That NBA 2K17 Face Scan Mobile App allows you to scan your face, and it should be easier to use than it was two years ago. The face scan app is called “MyNBA2k17” and it’s free to download and install. You won’t be able to see the progress of your scan until the NBA 2K17 Prelude released. 2K official details can be seen below

For Android, the size is around 280MB and you need version 4.03 and up. Even though it’s free to download, there are in-app purchases that cost real money. Face scanning in NBA 2K17 is only available for PS4 and Xbox One.

Different from the face scan app in NBA 2K15 and NBA 2K16, gamers don’t needed a console camera (either for PS4 or XBox One) to scan their face onto MyPlayer. Also, in NBA 2K17 face scan app,your MyCareer doesn’t go through high school.

Official Tips for Scanning You Face in NBA 2K17 MyPlayer

*Make sure your face is in even lighting from the front with as few shadows as possible.
This is the single biggest cause of bad scans.
It can be hard to keep your eyes open in direct light.If you need to blink, stop moving your head so the app will not take any pictures at that moment.

*Hold the phone at eye level.
Many people hold it a few inches too low and point it back up.

*Hold the phone around 18” from your face.
You don’t necessarily need to make your face fill up the outline on the screen.

*Turn your head slowly to a max of 45 degrees.
*Look forward as you turn your head.
Many people try to stay focused on the phone.

*As you turn your head, make sure you are not just pointing your chin from side to side.
Many people do this because they are subconsciously trying to keep their eyes on the phone.
